Plato was more than a Contemporary Writer and Philosopher; He envisioned the Reality we all live in aka Matrix and presented it in a moving and inspirational way.
It's absolutely true that we live in a Holographic "Cave", a Holographic Universe, with unseens and a spiritual world that is hidden behind the veil of this reality.
We see the shadows that manipulate the chained humans and mesmerize them.
When an elightened person escapes from the chains and runs out of the cave he becomes blide because of the sunlight.
As soon as he returns back to tell the truth, his chained fellows think he is insane!
Plato's allegory of the cave is but the pure truth painted with the colour of a story that's easier for Human Consciousness to consume.
